SCAD’s Sports Desk

SCAD’s Sports Desk is a student run program who’s purpose was to highlight the athletics at SCAD. For this branding package I created a bumper as well as lower thirds.

Bumper

My goal was to create a fast paced bumper that highlighted the individual athletic teams, using the schools color palette.

I started by designing each frame individually and experimented with alternative colors, and designs.

Lower Thirds

When I first started designing the lower thirds I decided to lean towards honeycomb to represent the SCAD Bee’s. I knew I wanted to keep the design simple and animation seamless.

After some personal experimentation, feedback from the client, and creative director I made a couple alterations until we reached the desired look.

Then I created a short and long version for versatility.
